Video tutorial coming soon

This space is ready for the walkthrough video. The written instructions below are complete and can be used now.

Before you start

You will need the following:

  • A Platforma creator account with access to Membership Settings and the Shopify Storefront.
  • Administrator access to the Shopify store you want to connect.
  • The store’s permanent .myshopify.com domain.
Use the permanent .myshopify.com domain shown in Shopify Settings → Domains. A custom storefront domain should not be entered during connection.

1. Connect the Shopify store

  1. 1

    Open Shopify integrations

In the Platforma creator app, go to Membership Settings → Integrations & API, then open Shopify.

  2. 2

    Enter the permanent shop domain

Enter the store’s .myshopify.com domain and choose Connect store.

  3. 3

    Approve Platforma Connect

Shopify opens its authorization screen. Review the requested access and approve the installation.

  4. 4

    Return to Platforma

After authorization, Platforma returns you to the Shopify integration page and displays a successful connection.

2. Assign the store to a storefront

Connecting a Shopify account makes the store available in Platforma. You must also choose which Platforma storefront should use it.

  1. 1. Open the Shopify Storefront feature in your creator app.
  2. 2. Open Stockroom → Settings.
  3. 3. Select the connected Shopify store from the dropdown.
  4. 4. Choose Use this store and wait for the success confirmation.

3. Add Shopify products

Open the Products tab in the Shopify Stockroom. Platforma displays the products available from the assigned store. Add the products you want members to discover, then review their visibility and storefront presentation before publishing.

Product and inventory information remains connected to Shopify. Shopify also remains the fulfillment system for Shopify-sourced orders.

4. Verify the member experience

Before announcing the storefront, preview the member area and confirm:

  • The intended Shopify store is selected.
  • Product names, images, prices, and inventory display correctly.
  • Only the products you selected are visible to members.
  • A test order reaches the expected order and fulfillment flow.

Troubleshooting

The connected store does not appear in Stockroom settings.

Refresh the integration status first. If the store still does not appear, return to Membership Settings → Integrations & API and confirm that Shopify shows the store as connected.

Shopify says the store domain is invalid.

Use the permanent .myshopify.com domain from Shopify Settings → Domains, not the custom domain customers use to visit the store.

Products are connected but do not appear to members.

Confirm that the products were added from the Stockroom Products tab and that the Shopify Storefront feature is visible in the published member-area theme.
